Let's think about this for a minute. If you write a hit song when you are 40, and it happens to be a pretty big hit, it could be equal to making a million dollars every year from the time that you are 20.
It's just a small piece of trivia that one of my cool musician friends told me, while I was vacationing last year. While I could just write it off, and say that "that's not true." It's one of those things that actually makes sense.
Not everybody can write a hit song, but the cool thing about it is, you have plenty of time. "One formula for achievement reads A= I*M. Where A = achievement, I = intelligence, and M = motivation" I totally stole that from Wikipedia, however, they didn't have a citation for it either, so I'm pretty sure they won't mind me stealing it.
Anyway, if you take the time and gather all the information you can, and basically raise your intelligence level on the subject of songwriting and music in general, then give yourself a little self motivation, you are likely to achieve more than you think.
If it sounds to easy, that's because it is. The hard part is staying focused long enough to do it. Most people out there have the focus level of a goldfish, which is fine for most things, but not if you want to achieve alot in your life. I'll have to be honest, my focus level is pretty low right now, but once you find what you're good at, or something that you can "latch onto" there's nothing that you can't achieve.
Son House!
